To leave a child with a gay father would be a disaster. I say this because I looked up my Father allot as a kid. He was not a gay man but I can imagine if i saw my own father kissing another man that would have lasting psychological effects on me. It might point an otherwise very normal kid in the wrong direction sexually as a young adult.

Well aside from the fact that most people are Probably going to come on here all defesive and protect gay rights and all. I don't get the vibe that your trying to stomp on thier rights to raise kids.

I can only speak from my exp. I grew up with 3 step moms and One father. I learned the Majority of my Morals, Values and the types of Goals I need to set from my father. I watched him the most as a teenager.

From my Last step mom who was with my dad for 10 years I did llearn how to be domesticated, (this is not a bash on women) some Mothers take pride in taking care of the house.

So while my father, showed me the Improtance of a man keeping his word, and How to do hard work, and how to never give up no matter how hard things may get.

My mother showed me the importance of Cleaning up after myself, doing my own Laundy, Cooking for myself. As a grown man women are amazed that my kitchen and bathroom is clean. Being able to take care of my self inside the house. It was becasuse my dad didn't have the time to show me these things where as my mom did.

I'm not saying a gay couple can't do this. I can't speak for what a gay couple can and can't do. Just like my parents forced thier values and belifs on me a Gay couple may do the same and there isn't anything anyone should say about it.

Pro maybe the child is more open minded, Con child may have hard time relating to the sex that wasn't in the home

First of all i don't support gay couples but I if people want to be gay it is there own chose. Also a single person is legally allowed to adopt a child so why should gay not be able to? As long as they do not mistreat the child it should be okay...

Well -- I guess you'd better start finding actual reliable unbiased research that shows how that situation is better. Good luck.

I would change my position and argue in favor of any loving, stable parent. Your current position doesn't hold much water, which is probably why you're running short on ideas and reliable research to back it up.
