Everytime I turn on to NBC they are talking about another murder, another rape, another missing child--then they hold Court on the subject for weeks and weeks (Jon Benet, for example). Why are Americans so obsessed with crime?

Because people are just morbid that way and news companies know it. There is a saying that "If it bleeds it leads" on the news..

Listen carefully, you anti-American!! We are not obsessed w/ crime any more than any other country. When a crime happens, we report on it. Does not the United Kingdom do the same thing? Does not Japan do it? What about France? Are you to tell me that no other country on this planet airs news reports about rape, murder, missing children, etc? There's a difference between being obsessed w/ crime and simply reporting it. Radical Muslims are obsessed w/ crime. That's why they are so quick to promote terrorism. So ask why MUSLIMS are obsessed w/ crime!

hey hey hey!!! why is mcclean55 so hot and angry....Muslims are crime obssessed???..is he mad....he is right that everyone reports crime ...but i will tell u something that media is trying to make muslims terrorists...the real terrorists are the christians and jews....muslims were never terrorists and will never be....
Americans are so obssessed with crime because it is their nature ...but their obssession is not seen in their in news because that is normal...it is seen in their destructive behavior.
...there is report of rape after every 4 min....is this situation in muslim coutries....there is report of stealing after every hour....is tis situation elsewhere...and much more
