My 21st is next week, does anyone know of a fun/ not too pricey place to go for dinner in San Francisco/Bay Area? There will be a party of about 12 and we will be drinking...alot. : ) Also, any suggestions on where to go after? Thanks!

The Tonga Room in the Fairmont Hotel -- more tacky tiki drinks than you have ever seen, and the food is all right. This place is touristy but a lot of fun, kind of a like a short trip to Disneyland. You can go home with a paper umbrella in every color of the rainbow. Then you can go across the street for salsa dancing at Top of the Mark. Have fun!

Tonga Room is a great place for a not too pricey place. Their one drink minimum and $7 for all you can eat buffet is a great deal but it's during happy hours so you might want to find somewhere to party later.

Cha Cha Cha on Haight is great fun. Get lots of pitchers of sangria and the atmosphere is really great. Don't go to Steps of Rome - it's so touristy and too small for a party of 12.

Do tapas in the Mission. Andalu is a good one or Cha Cha Cha. Small eats are perfect for large parties. It's cheap and people can share small plates of food. Plus the Mission dist. has PLENTY of fun bars. Try Blondie's, it's a martini bar with live music.

I love Asia de Cuba at the Clift Hotel on Geary Street. Its always full of young, hip looking people. The food is fantastics and the plates are designed for sharing. They have nice bar areas too. You can book using opentable.com.

Steps of Rome in SF North Beach. It's a lot of fun! The waiters flirt with you, the atmosphere is festive. Food's good, as it the chianti!
