kak is right. it is "Santa Carla" which is a city name made up for the movie. It visually is represented to most resemble Santa Cruz, but speculation on the name is that it is a sort-of hybridization of the two Bay Area cities of Santa Clara and San Carlos. The latter three mentioned, all being real cities in California.
