You are confusing private sexual relationships with the legal benefits of marriage. One has nothing to do with the other.
Any consenting adults can engage in any consensual private sexual actions they want. That's already the current Supreme Court law, as of Lawrence v. Texas.
Same-sex marriage has nothing to do with sexual relations. It doesn't even have anything to do with homosexuality. It is simply a matter of whether the government can give legal benefits and privileges to one couple, and deny them to another couple, based exclusively and solely on the genders of those involved.
But that question of legal status (marriage) and benefits has nothing to do with what people can do in the privacy of their homes.
