I've seen it happen... my husband and I have spans of time when there is definitely a lightening up of affection. I've seen a lot of marriages that are opposite -- they become more affectionate. Depends on the people involved. My husband was never romantic so that part wasn't a big change. sigh
And what is up with F. Perdurabo's answer? Your statement is spurious and false. "I am a robot."
It's not spurious and false to the asker if that is their experience. Don't think she was stating a fact, just her experience.

I know....The kissing does stop. lol
We joke about that here. We probably don't kiss twice a year. I think it's cause of morning sickness. They see us puking for month...haha
Kills the kissing thing. Really who has time to stop and make out..
Everyone I know that have been married for year and have a great marriage I here ask this or talk about it. Maybe we know our other half so well we don't have to kiss to show love. I'd rather have true love then fake love any day.

Sure it does. I think its a comfort thing. You get comfortable with the relationship. I think the relationship takes a more different type of love. A much more meaningful and deep seeded love. But....
You still gotta stock that fire. I make it a point to kiss my wife and snuggle from time to time. I also make a point to get busy with the wild out hokey pokey....

if you let the kissing and hugging stop it is your fault. Some people go through months , years of dating . pleasing and loving each other then get married and it all stops . why bother at all ..

your right it does eek out, but you should still love each other as much as the firts time, if not more.
you are living together and other interests like setting up a home paying bills doing completely different things. but this is all part of your relationship.

The hot kisses and romantic gestures are lures to entice your partner into marriage. Once the ring leaves a mark on your finger, you relax in that department.
Now, will you answer my question too, please?

It does not have to. From my own expirience, as long as you're attracted to each other, you can continue to live your "youth" by just keeping a smile on your faces. I find that usually people tend to forget that we're here to have fun with each other...
