I'm exactly 50. I feel younger and happier and much more free than I did when I was young..that's a truth.
What would I do differently? Probably a lot...HOWEVER...I would not have had the lessons I learned along the way either..so I'm not sure I would have changed too much.

Life is for experiencing both happiness and sadness..both confusion and understanding..good times and bad times...it's meant to be a struggle....the core of life lessons are found IN the struggles we have...so I guess I'd do it all again...sure wouldn't go back though - even if I had the chance. The last 5 yrs of my life have been the happiest..looking forward to much more ahead.
Fifty these days is a lot more different than 50 of my parents or grandparents days..especially for women I believe as we are so much more independent and free to do so many more things - we have options our parents and grandparents did not...but they paved the way.
I'm VERY satisfied as to how my life turned out, and my son's as well who is 28 now and quite sucessful in every aspect. Goals for the future? Travel more..retire young and do more volunteer & charitable works. Appreciate all things life brings along...keep learning new things...meeting new friends, and appreciating the old ones...loving my family...and looking forward to grandkids someday too. I think I'll be a rockin' granny to have 'round.

I am satisfied as I have a wonderful family anad network of friends. HOWEVER 2 to be honest if I could have had this man as my first hubby then I think things may have been different (for sure.) Did I want that? I am not sure as I think we learn from all of our lives experiences...good AND bad...I also think i was a different person during the first marriage. I do have two beautiful children and 2 beautiful grandchildren ( one born yesterday!!) So I have to honestly say I am satisfied now..not necessarily happy about how I got here....but satisfied that I am here.

I GUESS 44 COUNTS. I AM NOT SATISFIED HOW MY LIFE HAS TURNED OUT, SO FAR, AND YES I WOULD OF DONE IT DIFFERENTLY KNOWING WHAT I KNOW NOW. FIRST IT STARTED OUT BEING A YOUNG MOM, SO I HAD TO QUIT SCHOOL I WAS SUPPOSE TO GRADUATE IN 1980 INSTEAD I HAD A BABY. I GOT WITH SOME LOSERS AND I WAS JUST LIVING TO BE LIVING. I NOW HAVE FOUR GROWN KIDS AND THREE GRAND-KIDS, BUT IT'S BETTER NOW THEN IT HAS EVER BEEN. I HAVE MY GED AND A YEAR OF COLLEGE, SO IT'S NEVER TO LATE TO CHANGE YOUR LIFE, BUT YOU HAVE TO REALLY WANT TO DO IT.

I would change some things but I try not dwell on regrets. Satisfied? No. Resilient? Yes. There is still a lot of life left in me. I enjoy my friends and my son. Life is good, actually.

My life is not what I had expected it to be, but I am very happy with how it has turned out so far.

I had expected to be farther along in saving for retirement, and that I would have been with my first husband for ever. Instead I have been through a terrible divorce which drained my finances.

I would have been better prepared for the reality of divorce. I would have seen it coming sooner and have been the one who cleaned out the accounts first!

I am totaly satisfied with how things worked out. Would I change things? Oh yeah.... I would have made many different decisions, as long as I could have the same result I have now...

Hindsight is 20/20...would have done many things differently. But overall, am content.

Ofcourse having 20 K to invest in Microsoft when it went public would have been nice.

there is so much I would change.... very little is as it should be..... my 3 sons are nothing like I thought they would be... their lives are such a mess..... we raised them in the city, i would raise them in the country.... we moved from our home state, I would NOT have moved here...... my marriage is just what I dreamed of as a little girl and that is a blessing in itself tho..... I would love more, have more fun, dream my dreams and try harder to make at least one come true....... *sigh*.... need more ?? but life is life and we move on and go on as best we can I guess..... and unfortunatly wisdom only comes with age....... God bless
