Our bodies aren't designed to last forever.

Vital organs basically start to wear out and finally pack up.

When you're old and these things happen, it's called dieing of natural causes.

When you're younger, it's called having a heart attack or liver failure etc - they're all natural really, but when people are younger, I guess it's not viewed as natural!??

We die when our brains stop giving out instructions to go on living, so that the heart stops. The causes of this are too numerous to list - heart failure does not necessarily mean death as people can be kept alive by machines as long as their brain continues to function. However, when the brain ceases to send out its electrical impulses, all the heart massage techniques in the world will not revive a person.

i wouldnt know as i am in fact immortal.....although my mortal boyfriend states the body looses the ability to regenerate as it gets older so your organs start to shut down after a period of time as it cant keep up to replace the tissue lost in general wear and tear.....clever clogs he is....

Usually its due to one or more of the organs failing due to age.
