she makes fun that i like tall "men" and it really annoys me but she does not stop if i ask her to. i dont mind them being tall despite if we stand next to each other i litteraly look up to them. i like them as friends because of their personality and i dont like them in the way that i would want to be their boyfriend. what can i do to make my mom stop?

Since you tried asking her, you may have to take it a step further. Try talking once more, not when it happens, but just when the two of you are watching TV or fixing dinner. Just explain that it makes you feel bad when she teases, and could she please stop.
If that doesn't work, try writing out your feelings in a note or letter. Then give it to her. Hopefully it won't come to this, though. Just remember, don't be angry when you talk, or you'll just come off as another angsty teen. Be calm and mature, and I hope you get great results!

Really you may spend your whole life wishing your mom would stop doing annoying things. Stop now and save yourself years of torment.
I think the best answer as a 31 year old who has been through it with her mom is to think of it this way.
Let her say what she wants. What is truly important here is how you deal with it. Realize you can not change your parents but you can change how you deal with them. The better you deal with them the better your relationship will be.
Don't sweat it. I bet if you stopped reacting to it and acted like you didn't even hear it she may eventually stop. Let her say what she wants. In life people are going to express opinions and beliefs about you that you will find hurtful and sometimes mean. There is nothing you can do to change or stop it. You may never be able to change their opinion. What you can do is realize that the only thing to do is to deal with it the best way you know how.
The better you deal with life, the better life will deal with you. Don't get angry or upset. Consider the source, consider the person, and then consider what you know about yourself to be true. Believe in yourself and be strong.

Talk to her! Don't shout "Stop That!", but, rather sit down with her. Explain to her that this makes you feel uncomfortable, and you would appreciate it if she wouldn't tease you anymore. If all else fails, just ignore her when she starts to tease you. When in a conversation, don't acknowledge her until she stops making Jokes about your Friends. Then continue talking. She will get the message. Please, respect your mom, and know that she loves you with all her heart. She only wants what's best for you, and maybe these jokes are her way of trying to get closer. Or maybe you should just try walking away when she says something... Dont say anything back at all. Actions speak louder than words!

tell her to grow up, and tell her what you just told us. Then if she continues just totally 100% ignore her when she makes those comments.Dont give her the satisfaction of showing a response or arguing. If anything just give a casual " ya ok mom " or "Ya". Generally the teaser loses interest quickly if they are not getting a response or a reaction. i.e, riling you up. good luck. p.s if none of that works start telling your mom shes fat and ugly.
