The Montreal Canadian, When you hear names like, George Vezina, Newsy Lalonde, Howie Morenz, Toe Blake, Maurice Richard, Boom Boom Geoffrion, HelmerLack, Serge Savard, Ken Dryden, Larry Robinson, Guy Lafleur, Jean Beliveau, Jacques Plante ect... WOW!!! They do have more then any team, players in the hockey Hall of Fame and the most Stanley cups. When you are a Canadian fan, Nos Glorieux, well it's for life and this through thick and thin, no matter what they are in my blood.

Montreal Canadiens, it's where all the history is and all the greatest legends of the game are from or played for. I've answered this question so many times.
French nicknames for the team include Le Bleu-Blanc-et-Rouge, Le Tricolore, Les Glorieux, and Les Habitants. The team jersey is referred to as La Sainte-Flanelle (the holy sweater). In English, the main nicknames are the Habs and (usually historically) The Flying Frenchmen. To this date, the Montreal Canadiens remain the last Canadian team to win the Stanley Cup, having last won it in 1992-93.

GO HABS GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My bigger question is why do people use "who" with teams? Who started this trend?

Anyhoo, by default the Canucks because I grew up in Vanloser. What can I say? I am a lapsed B's fan as they were my NHL team before Nux showed up in 70/1.

The Flyers. My first real memory of the game was when they won the cup (way back in '75). I've met Bernie Parent a few times when I was younger (he would do motivational speaking at the high school my mom worked at). My family shared season tickets, so I got to spend a huge chunk of time at the Spectrum (RIP) about 8 rows behind their goaltenders. When I was younger, I remember getting the program, and waiting outside to get autographs...

Hell, I even went to watch them play a charity softball game in Reading PA in the early 80's.

The Edmonton Oilers. Not only are they loaded with offensive talent, their management will do anything to make them a winning a club. It carries a lot of tradition for a relatively young club in the league.

Also, they are Canada's best chance at a Cup this year.

Carolina Hurricanes

They are in my home town. A very good team. I love the players that are on the team. I just love them.Plus they won the cup. They are a team that hardly anybody expects to be a good team, But they prove them wrong.

The Boston Bruins because I grew up watching Ray Bourque, Terry O'Reilly, Cam Neely and many other players who played the game with passion, skill and rugged determination.

I'm still a fan these days because I evidently hate myself. ;P

Buffalo Sabres

For all the dumb jersey changes(why couldn't they just leave it alone) and all the bad teams...and all the bad trades...I grew up about two blocks from The aud...and HSBC arena, I watch them build it from my backyard. I will always remember Rick Jenearette making up names for all the players...La la la lalalalalala LaFontaine...The little Devil Satan...and Top Shelf where Momma hides the cookies.
