That's right - you need to know the pop3 address for outbound and SMTP for inbound mailboxes. the addresses are something like:

mail.pop3.yahoo.com
mail.smtp.yahoo.com

You may wish to verify with your service provider, but this is what I've had to do in the past to set up Yahoo! mail through Outlook.

you are going to get alot people telling you cant do this however this is not accurate
you need to download a program called ypops from yahoo
then install it-download here-http://www.ypopsemail.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Downloads&file=index
if you are using outlook for your email when you get to the part that needs the pop and smtp info type in local host for both sections
next click more settings-then outgoing server tab-put a check in the box my outgoing server requires authentication-check box that says use same settings as my incomming mail server-click ok-click next-click finish
once you are all done with the configurations in outlook or whatever program you are using start the ypops application
then do a send and receive and thats it youve got mail
note:if you use your email program all the time you can set ypops to start when windows does if you dont then set it so you start it manually.
good luck

It will only work if you have a paid account. Then when you select pop3 forwarding it explains thoroughly how to do it.

Hope that helps.

Yahoo dosnt support pop3 unless you have a paid account. But assuming that you do. pop.mail.yahoo.com and smpt.mail.yahoo.com

You need to upgrade your yahoo account to a paid account. The free yahoo service does not allow pop access.

Another alternative is YPOP:

But I am not sure how legal it is.
