Stress can bring a period on early. An infection. Or, my personal favorite - implantation bleeding - when the egg has been fertilized and it burrows into the uterine wall it can cause bleeding. If none of these are your problem - go see a doctor immediatly. Unexplained bleeding is also a BIG warning sign for ovarian/uterine cancer. Sorry.

Some people just get spotting at various times and it doesn't mean anything. But bleeding for reasons other than your period can be a sign of other things- like everyone has mentioned- plus it can be a sign of more serious things. Not to worry you but if it persists you might want to see your doctor. My aunt had fibroid tumors in her uterus and bled quite often. Stuff like this is usually nothing but it's always better to be safe than sorry.

Rough sex, or sexual acts which can include objects being put inside you. If you fell and injured yourself. If you cut yourself while shaving. A miscarriage can always cause bleeding.

I've only bled "down there" two times. When I'm on my period, and when I lost my virginity.

If you are worried, see your doctor. There are a lot of things that can be wrong and if you are worried you need to see him/her. Could be hemorrhoids, hormones or something else. Get going and good luck.
