Just a hint though, try to avoid names that could be mispronounced or misspelled easily. There is nothing more frustrating to a kid than having to correct people, like his or her teacher, every time they say the name for the first time. Or having to say "no, that's spelled with an 'I' not a 'Y'" a thousand times! Plus, if you like to buy things with your child's name on them, you'll never be able to find anything with the correct spelling unless it's specially made for you.
Here are some baby girl names with their meanings:

Go on-line and look at the girls' baby names for the past few years. Take out a baby name book from the library.
This name has to last the baby throughout its entire life, so please be sure that the name fits her. Fancy spellings and made-up names will be resented by this baby girl for all time.
My personal favorites are Annie, Brenda, and Susie.

I like michaun (pronounced mi-shaan) or evangeline or tamia. I know of women called zahida, zarika and zaneka. I like the z-sound. Try combining girl names: like michanie (michelle and stephanie) or boy girl names like danielle and naomi to get danomie (dah-no-me)

Do not automatically think "baby girl" when you pick her name! Choose a name that will work just as well when she's 40 years old as when she's 40 hours old.
