Rabbits keep coming into my yard and leaving theri baby rabbit which my dogs proceed to kill. I either need to know how to keep the rabbits out of my yard or keep my dogs away from them.

Oh! we had the same problem last year! it was so sad =(.. and we didn't want to lay poison out.. because we have horses..

so my dad dug a trench and buried chicken wire along the fence.. we went 3 feet deep I think..

good luck.. and please don't kill the bunnies.. they are soo cute.. try selling them instead. =)

Couple of possibilities.

Leave the dogs out more often to keep the adult rabbits away.

Spread human hair around the perimeter of the yard. Get a bunch at the local barbershop. Dried blood, available at garden centers works as well be needs to be refreshed after any kind of moisture. Last idea is to plant marigolds around the perimeter. Rabbits do not like the scent of them.

Failing all of that, eventually the dogs will eliminate or educate the rabbits.

The only thing that's 100% against rabbits is a form of chicken wire called rabbit fencing. It's small holes on the bottom, graduated to a bit larger holes further up, and is 24"-36" in height. You can also spread blood meal or barber shop hair around the perimeter of your yard, but they will need replacing weekly or after a rain. Rabbits also don't like marigolds.

How about running chicken wire along the bottom of your fence.
