The ACLU is a Freedom Hating, American-Hating, and Religion-Hating organization.
They are terrorist-supporting thugs with millions and millions of dollars backing them.

Terror has nothing to do with the ACLU. The ACLU does not scare people or threaten any person's safety. It is an organization that generally supports an individual's right to believe or say anything (as opposed to doing something). The ACLU does not support pedophiles, it only supports an organization's rights to speak freely and assemble freely as supported by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

They defend the constitution and your freedom. To shut them down would be an act of government tyranny. Those who speak against the ALCU either hate freedom or don't understand it.

You know a lot of people have bumper stickers that say "freedom isn't free" and that's true, freedom requires that we let people we don't like speak their minds, and that we uphold people's basic human rights even if they have done unspeakable things.

The reason that the statue of Justice wears a blindfold is because justice is supposed to be blind to who the person is or what they are accused of, it acts in a uniform manner for eveyone, from speeders to tax cheaters to child molesters to terrorists.

When the ACLU stands for the freedom of someone accused of terrorism or rape, what you don't understand is that because justiice is uniform and blind this means that they're fighting for your rights and freedom too. When a terrorist loses their rights, you lose it also because freedoms and rights are applied to EVERYONE EQUALLY in a free country.

Seriously you people sound like Facists. Maybe move to china where the government is more like the way you like it.

Well, let's see ...

The ACLU works very, very hard to defend the Bill of Rights, also known as the first 10 amendments to the US Constitution.

Is there something wrong with defending our constitutional rights? Who does that terrorize? Dictators?

The ACLU is a very patriotic organization. Now, if you want to talk about terrorists, what about the people in the Bush-Cheney-Rove White House who violate the Constitution daily?

You have no idea what your talking about. At least research the ACLU case history before you puke all over yourself.

If it was not for the ACLU who would defend Dubya. No real law firm wants to touch him after all that hooded executioner talk he was spewing.

Their nose is in the Constitution, and defending individuals whose constitutional rights have been violated by the government. That's all they do. Their entire mission is to defend constitutional rights, and to ensure that the government actually follows its own laws.

Now, if you think defending constitutional rights is a terrorist action, and that trying to get the government to obey the constitution is a terrorist action, then you apparently agree with the Bush regime that the constitution has lost all meaning and should be discarded.

Here is an interesting description of the ACLU from wikipedia,

Read, research and draw your own conclusions.

They can be annoying, and sometimes a "little much", but watch dogs are needed to guard our civil rights, and to keep politicians in line.

Thanks to the ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) your civil rights are enforced, or else.

Without it, any cop abusing power would have no reason to fear consequences
