Hey guys!!

I came across a job I'm very interested in on www.monster.com and e-mailed my cover letter and resume to the employer on Friday 9/22. I have not heard anything back yet, and it is now Tuesday 9/26. On the advertisement it said to get in contact with one person, and on their website it gives another point-of-contact. Should I send my resume to that person as well just to be sure they received it? Should I call towards the end of this week if I haven't heard anything? Should I go up in person with resume in hand? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

I would call or email them just to verify that they received your information.

It wouldn't hurt to send your resume to the other point of contact. As far as any follow up goes you should do it on the phone and you should wait at least 2 weeks. You do not want to pressure them in anyway. Usually what happens is your resume will go into a stack of other resumes. So to follow up via phone is always the way to go. Well, look at it in a positive perspective. Maybe they're just having this batches. So if the batch that they fill you in is already all-set then that would be the time they'll contact you. It's not easy to handle applicants. It needs preparation. But of course it's better to be sure 'coz you might lose hope. Living testimonials, our HR here in the company!!

i would call and ask? they are not going to know you unless you tell them. just tell them you e-mailed your info and the advertisement said to contact one person, and on the website it gave you another POC. it's not going to hurt you for asking a question. good luck on the job!!

And when you call or email them, ask for who you are suppose to speak to. Make sure it's not just someone who works there, but someone with authority or is in charge of hiring and interviewing.
