ask him if he's going. then ask if he's taking anyone. he may ask if you are and if you have a date.....then if there is an awkward moment try to figure out if he is avoiding the topic of if he doesn't really want to go or if there is any spark of curiosity....if you feel there is some glimmer of interest on his part and he doesn't have a date you should just blurt out, "hey maybe we could go, do you wanna ask me to the dance?" who knows, maybe he's just nervous and shy. you may be doing him a big favor. and if he bails or doesn't respond or has an excise, just chalk it up as giving it a good try. hey it's not the end of the world, you talked to a boy about a dance....it's important to you, you'd like to go, but we're not talking life of death here. it's supposed to be a fun thing, to celebrate the experience, I bet he'll go for it, why wouldn't he, you're a sweet girl and you like him:)
maybe you should talk to his best friends girl friend or his date. perhaps you two could double date if you're all friends, plus you may get the scoop on what is up with the guy you like...
Don't be a chicken, you'll know one way or the other, and the sooner you know the better chance you have of working on Plan B if this one fails!!!
Good Luck, but do go and have fun:)))

WHY NOT?? This may be yur only chance. If you have allready kissed the guy and you two are friends,t hen ask him to go with you. What have you got to loose? Freshmen... So lame.. lol.. Ask him, just do it. You might regret it if you don't.
Have fun at Homecoming and don't get into too much trouble! lol

Hope my answer was somewhat descent.

If you like him; go for it! Tell him you still need a date and really want to go. Let him know that he's the only "guy friend" you would want to go with!
