I would ignore them ! there are bigger problems in this world than mean e-mail. Block their address from coming to your inbox! that way they can't send you anymore

First, the easy part. Every email program has a way to display the "email headers" that are part of every message. For example, in Outlook 2003, the steps are: 1. Double click the message to read to make it full screen, 2. Click the View menu and then Options. The headers are listed under the "Internet Headers" section. Scroll down the list and the last "Received:" line you find is generally the computer that sent the message.

Now the hard part. In my experience, you will get little help from the computer people at the site that sent the message. The expection will be if there are a lot of messages and the messages are very threatening.

Given the "throw away" email accounts you can get at Yahoo, Hotmail, etc. there is a good chance if one account is closed, the sender will create a new account and continue the harrassment.

Unless you feel you are in danger, my advice is to ignore the messages.
