If you have a painted bumper (or plastic coated) you have to be careful not to damage the bumper. Auto parts stores that cater to the body shop sell a spray can of trim remover. You spray on and it will remove anything. (including your skin-wear safety glasses and nitrile gloves)

Hair dryer works about the best and is cheapest, too. Just be sure not to scorch the paint. Keep the hair dryer moving until the whole sticker is hot, then just lift a corner and voila!, it will come off no problem.

go to an auto paint supplier and ask for prep-sol( prep solvent) or a cheap can of reducer. That and a little elbow grease goes a long way. Try not to use alot of reducer otherwise it will warp the plastic and ruin your paint.

WD-40 is something everyone has in the garage. It is a solvent and wont damage the paint. works great for bug and tar too!
