you were going to live in the same house with your spouse until the day you died. Come home and hear the same story every day. Never have children, never bungie jump, dance, climb down a rocky cliff to rescue a floating tire tube or have a tight knit group of friends that you and your husband could hang with?

If you told me that, I would tell you that you are a poor predicter of the future, lol. I decide how I run my life, and you can decide how you run your life too. Take charge! "There is no fate" - Terminator 2.

Just because you are married to this guy doesn't mean you have to give up your dreams. You can bungie jump, dance and climb down a bunch of rocky cliffs. If you can't find a close knit group of friends for you as a couple, be sure to find some for your self. Sounds to me like you are not really living. Why not live the life you desire until you die?

My wife doesn't want children, and she would never bungie jump, but I can still get her to dance (with a bit of a struggle). She'll still go out and do fun things with me. I'm more outgoing than her, and she likes to stay in the house a lot, but you compromise. Marriage isn't always a picnic. And you know, if you want to climb down a rocky cliff, do it. He won't join you, but that's his problem. He can come watch you... take pictures... cheer you on, whatever.

Sorry about the children part. You might be amazed at how many people have lives pretty much like that. Make the best of what you have and look for little opportunities to brighten it now and then.

Why, don't you like doing all those exciting things you mentioned? Then why don't you go ahead and do them?
Are you the person who runs your life, or what? When did you give all control of your life away to someone else? If you want to do those things, then do them. We don't care. Have fun.

I would be really depressed and wonder why anyone would marry into that situation in the first place.

Stay single - you'll be happier.
But what if I told you that marriage was one of the greatest adventures you will ever take? What if it is the exact opposite of what you said, and it's fun and amazing?

you should have married because you can see your self growing old with him in a happy, loving, secure relationship, if you can't see yourself old with them then they aren't the one to marry
