Life experiences and disappointments of epic proportion. A lack of courtesy & respect for self and others, and you might add cynical, cold, and jaded to your list.
And I'm not even going into politics or religion because that'd just make people mad & it'd make the situation worse. I'm trying out a new thing that's really very old. I'm trying to be nice, kind, and compassionate instead.
Hey, if I can do that then maybe at least I can change myself & the way I think & react. That might make a tiny difference after all.

You have, my dear. The explicit underlying argument of your statement is that "the world is so sadistic". This is a perspective. There is much good to be found in the world if you challenge yourself to discover it and create it. Join the Peace Core, donate bread or money. Do a good deed.
