For people who have online friends?

Do you find it easier to talk to them then your real friends about certain things?

You know that is a really good question. I had not thought about that before.

I think that although it is good to have a chat with friends on the Internet, I can never truly give everything of myself like I do with my real life best friend. You just never know. Some weirdos like to pretend that they are someone else....and knowing my luck, that would be my friend. ha ha

i don't think its a matter of being easier, maybe they will confide in you things that they will not tell their fiends out side or as some would say real life,but a friend maybe we should ask what is a friend, but then i maybe a little byes in my answer being an old friend of yours myself, Not here for points just happy to hear you around, the door is all ways open drop in anytime time, pull up some floor and make yerself at home

very much so, i have friends on here, and i can talk about anything at all, it seems so easy as well, i think the reason is that there is a barrier, that being the PC, there's distance between you, if you say something wrong, they disagree, vice a versa, you just turn of pc and forget about, with face to face its different, some things you wont ask, its the how do i say that to them, or no i cant say that, i think u get the picture, i hope this is what you was looking for

I think so, I have a very good on-line friend in Australia, we clicked and we get along so well, we can tell each other out innermost thoughts, moan about things, have a laugh, discuss our online chaps, everything. We have similar lives so know where we are coming from, and the funny thing is she was born not far from where I live, so we may meet next year when she is over visiting relatives in the UK.

Not really, but sometimes I can offload in a way that would be more difficult with other friends, for example, I can talk to my Filipino friend about problems with students and colleagues without worrying about confidentiality issues, as she is never going to meet any of the personalities involved. Also, being from another culture, she is interested in some of the minutia of my life that others would find very boring!

I do, i have a couple of online friends that are closer than some of my best friends. Sometimes it helps to get a view on things from someone who is removed from the situation at hand as well

I think there are certain advantages in that there is a lack of physical interaction. The online crowd offers similar comforts of a confession booth.

But, lets face it. They are no substitutes for live action friends.

I have a pen-pal whom I email from time to time. We exchange knowledge --- she teaches me her language and I teach her mine. We also talk about things that happen in our lives and things that worries us. There are things about which I find easier to talk to her than to my real friends because she doesn't share the same circle of friends so she doesn't have to be involved emotionally and take sides.

Not really,it is about the same.But on here I will go more in depth about my past as I have a lot of life experience,and hope that it helps people through bad situations.

It depends on whether you are talking to males or females, I personally think a lot of men who chat on the internet just tell girls what they want to hear and pretend to be somebody they are'nt to try and bed the girl.

Which is a real shame and makes me ashamed to be male.

So I would say talk to your real friends who are genuine and know you the best.

Just my opinion.
