the story starts out with a girl who is with a musician named trucker who is abusive.she gets out and goes back to her family.her older sister is a semi famous singer in local bars and she stands in her shadows.she finds a new man and they live in a crummy apartment together.i know its within the past ten years.i have seen it twice but never get the name of movie.in the middle she sings a van morrison song that was pretty good.

It was Georgia. Trucker was like a supporting character played by Jimmy Witherspoon.
It did have some pretty famous actors in it...
