The only real way to stay away from arguements is to agree with everyone the other person says. But then you wouldn't have your opinion.
Argue away! On the other hand if there is someone who starts an arguement with you then maybe you should calmly reply and then discuss rather then sit and yell. That's never fun.

Well depending on the situation:
Boyfriend-Girlfriend:
Well in a relationship there are bumps...there is no way in avioding an argument because a bump in the road means the road has expierience.
Husband-Wife:
Here is the thing....in marriage there is no way out when you argue it is because you two are expressing your opinions and being honest with each other meaing you trust each other.
Friend-friend:
Here is the thing friensship depending on age can vary. Childish friendships usually go away after years of drifiting apart and old friendships are bonded but can also be split so an arugument between friends can be expected and can be avioded with ignorance.

It should depend on the situation and the reason for such an argument to arise. If you find yourself to be the cause of a certain argument, just apologize if it's deemed appropriate and/or just shut your mouth or leave. If you're simply dragged into an argument, simply state your reason or defense and stick to it firmly then say no more. But if you feel like the argument will lead into a fistfight, well, you can either prepare yourself to it or just walk away. Walking away will not immediately mean you're a coward.

You cannot stay away from arguements in a mature relationship. People will always disagree. Staying away from arguements often mean swallowing what you have to say, or what you need, to keep the peace. It does not work in the long run, you break up. You need to learn to argue constructively.
