you will need four years of law and four more years of PI and then years of on the job training.

a PI? I wrote our state not long ago and asked that same question...they sent me a brochure and an application. The application asked things about firearms, criminal past, education, employment history, etc. and I know you pay a fee and get fingerprinted. My next concern would be, ok, so maybe you qualify easily, but who would you work for and at what pay and what would be expected of you, and after you hear all that, would you still be interested in doing that kind of work.
