No. There is no wonder cure for divorce. Most couples about to be married are so in that lovey-dovey, the world is perfect phase, that will jump through any hoops and double loops to get married. It's only after that phase dies away, that the real relationship sets in and then the real test begins - and that test is a unique journey for every couple and it is up to them to succeed or fail.

One more thing, I think it should more difficult for people to become parents but I can think of no way to that without infringing on personal rights

Yes, I think it should be more difficult for couples to get married. People don't understand the santity of marriage. It's not a game or something to be entered into lightly. Lives are ruined, especially if children are involved. Some people get married for the wrong reason and marry people they don't even like. I think there needs to be some kind of compatability test and pysch evaluation. If you like having more than one partner at a time, marriage is probably not best for you.

It's like people say, okay that's going to be my "first" wife or husband. Divorce is way to common.

Personally, I think priorities are a bit mixed up these days. Couples are having multiple kids with multiple partners and then maybe throwing a husband or wife in there too. I think making a marriage license more difficult to obtain would end up with more children born outside marriage without a lifetime commitment of each parent to each other. It might be wiser to teach family relationship skills in middle and high schools.

Yes, absolutely I think it's way to easy for people to get married & it's to easy to divorce too. Obviously if people are getting drunk in Vegas & by morning ending up married. I also think that people should have to have an IQ of atleast 100 to procreate, it may sound harsh but I know some of you knew that guy in high school that was so stupid that you didn't even think that he was smart enough to find a mate let alone find one that would have sex with him. And sure enough, here it is ten or so years later & you spot him in Wal Mart or Kmart with his tribe of 4 or 5 kids, that are usually covered in some type of sticky substance. That's all we need in this country is more kids that are being raised on wellfare that will grow up to have more kids that will be raised on wellfare. I'm sorry but stupid people usually breed stupid people. Just an observation.

Definately.Pre marriage course should be mandatory. The only thing you need to get married is a blood test and a few bucks for the license. You need more than that to get a drivers license.

No, it shouldn't... Marriage and divorce is a personal choice that should be exercised freely.

That's a nice thought but you can't predict what will happen to two people in the future, and how it might affect their marriage.
