I work retail, and in the store I work kids ride bikes, play with toys, Take toys out of their packaging. Out right destroying the store and all I am allowed to say is an announcement over the loud speaker saying "we care about the safety of your children, we therefore require that all children be supervised by an adult at all times." No one ever listens.

I think that some people are afraid to discipline their children because they lack confidence, and some just don't care.
In the store I used to work in, my manager would tell the parents of unruly kids to either control them or leave the store.
There were no problems with children like that afterwards!

I hate to see children running riot in stores though, it's so disrespectful to other shoppers.

Okay I agree with the taking toys out of packages and riding bikes or even just running up and down the aisles, that shouldn't be allowed. But the playing with toys thing I don't agree with if my kids weren't allowed to try out some of the toys especially the ones that say try me I wouldn't buy in that store. I decided what to get my kids by how often they go back to the same toy, then I know that they won't lose interest in it when it comes home. I also agree that parents shouldn't let there kids do whatever they want in a store. I don't let my kids get away with whatever they want and I always make sure they are behaving appropriately in a store setting. I know some parents don't. I don't think that this means they shouldn't be parents but they definitely need to learn some parenting skills. It also doesn't help that some other parents and even staff in some stores will tell you in front of them to just let them go ahead and do it. I have had my authority undermined a few times by sales people.

Because some parents don't care. Mine are a year apart. I use to sit in the house when I didn't have control over them. Then when I started taking them out if they were bad or loud I took them to the car and when they go big I took them to the car and popped them. My kids by the time they were 3 knew how to act in public. You got to teach a child manors.

My hubby also works in retail and you wouldn't believe some of the things he tells me...Well you probably would. It's shocking..

Hello. Your Redness, how does it feel to be lost in "Egotism". Since, your egotism didn't allow you to notice: the few words, you were, seemingly seeking, are: Peace, Love, & +Comprehension...MeSighAh...CanU???...PS: Your confusion, concerning the human condition, is noted...Poor Breeding...for how-ever many reasons, that your imagination may be capible of suggesting...some positive, some negative, eh? Ultimately, it would seem to be the factoring, of one's mental health, eh? Or, perhaps, it's
due to one's, "free-will", experience, and the general trend of the "Pop Culture", to follow the crowd, ( lemming like), and of course, their own, Freudian observed, "ID", instinctual desire: to survive, and to perpetuate the species; with every coloring of human emotional, free-will??? One would assume that your fellow human co-existance, has, as yet not experienced, "Paternalism". which is a seeming, superior, positive offering, with-in the, Creators Plan...or does this offering, confuse your existance even more??? None the less, I'm here, ready, willing, & able to save humanity; if they should so desire...Oh, and by the way, everybody listens...although their, "Egoism", generally won't allow them, to show any sign. This, is of course, due to the ever evolving population effect, which, of course, places the fellow human co-existors, in an ever increasing competition; for the limited supply of natural resources, in this physical existance...Godliness, or selfishness, that is the question???

Because the parents let the children be in control.

Those parents are to absorbed in their own life to notice the kids. That is why they act the way they do they need the attention

I hate people like that!!!! Let me tell you, I have 2 kids and I NEVER let them carry on in public. People are either too lazy or too stupid to control their kids. And those types, should NOT BREED!!!!.
