I think it is fine sparingly. Caffiene can cause nervous system disorders in unborn babies, but I do think as long as you aren't drinking several cups a day you should be fine, they say coffee drinkers that were studied didnt show any problems on less than 3 cups of coffee a day.

Absolutely. Some caffine is fine, and chocolate doesn't have much. Docs say no more than three caffinated drinks a day, so I'm sure a hot chocolate is perfectly fine. You and your boyfriend should read a pregnancy book together, like "What to expect when you're expecting"

Ovaltine mix only to make it at home. Nothing else comes close. Will buy whole milk chocolat milk outside home only. 2% chocolate milk is pretty lame. Must be ice cold. If it is not ice cold, I will not drink chocolate or any milk. Drink white 2% milk every day as that is healthy and have the treat of chocolate a couple times a month. Usually drink chocolate alone as it is a rare treat.

Hmmnn. If you're really stuck, then you should always speak to your health practitioner.

I don't think Hot Chocolate is bad, except for your teeth. If anything I would have thought it would be good cos of the calcium that you get.

Only a suggestion, but how about asking Nestle themselves. It's not as if you are being nasty, it's for a medical purpose that you are asking. They shouldn't mind telling you.

But don't take my word as gospel, ALWAYS speak to your doctor/nurse/healthpractitioner and they will tell you the answer.

As long as your are not living on it.I drank coffee, tea hot chocolate, and pepsi the whole time I was pregnant with all 3 of my pregnancies.Just limit yourself. The strees of not getting it is worse than a cup of hot cocoa once or twice a day.

If you are worried about the caffeine, they make hot chocolate without it, the white hot chocolate at least..It's called Goodnight Hugs

Good luck!

it's fine to eat chocolate during pregnancy. Just don't over do it. They say you can have two small cups of coffee a day when pregnant so a few pcs. of chocolate shouldn't hurt.

I don't see a problem with it because I lived on fudge bars through my first pregnancy. If it really bothers you, get some Hersey Good Night Kisses hot cocoa. It doesn't have the caffeine.

There is very little caffeine in chocolate. If you are worried about it, I would ask your doctor before trusting the guy who wasn't smart enough to wear a condom.

Yes, it's perfectly fine. It might be your craving fits.
But dont take a lot of caffiene, because it can be harmful. One cup a day shouldn't hurt.
