I am retired. I got out of high school long before you were born. My high school has a club for old graduates (alumni) and we get together every year and have a big party. Some of the old guys there were in 1st grade with me!
I have noticed that the kids who were nice and friendly and helpful when they were 16 are just the same now. Most of them had good lives, made a good living and are happy now. The kids who were jerks back in 1958 are still jerks and a lot of them spent their lives trying to figure out why nothing went right for them
Hold on to your good friends - the nice ones - you will always like them!!

Yea i am and I text her today to arrange a pub lunch, the funny thing is I new her at school but I wasn't Friends with her until we had a school reunion and we have stayed in touch since We are 40 yrs old now

Yeah, my closest friends are all people I went to school with (one since I was 9, the others 11) but I'm only 23 so it's only been five years since we left school!

Not really, most of them are long gone their separate ways, although I've tried to find them on the Internet.
I do know one guy from High School and one girl from high school but I haven't seen either in 20 years now.
Oldest freinds date back to 19 from work and from other friends.

I still email one girl I have known since I was 10. We live in different countries but do see each other about once every 2 years.

One of my very good friends I knew at playschool, we lost touch at secondary school a bit, then made friends again when we were leaving! and another I still see very regularly...a few I catch up with occasionally

i still have my first ever friend from nursery as my best mate. admittedly meetings have become fewer since then but we still talk regularly. i also have a number of friends i met from secondary school i see as much as possible and speak to at least one of them a day
