Lately I have been experiencing a dull lower back pain on and off durring the day and night too, its kinda hard to explain, its not horrible pain but it pulses, usually last about 15 minutes or so every hour or two ? the baby is also much more active twards the end of the day and at night when im trying to sleep, and also some-times earlyer in the day when the baby is normally less active, Its getting much more difficult to sleep at night but i pretty sure that its normal... what do you guys think, i am about 33-35 wks pregnant and i have an ultrasound tomarrow to find out the baby's sex, and i dont want to call the doctor if i dont have to.

You don't have to call the doctor....the doctors nurse could tell you and at the same time ease your mind especially if you have nothing to worry about. That is what they are there for.
Babies rest on so many of our internal parts....it might just be pressing against your back bone causing this back pain.
But...this is your precious unborn child and if you think this is a problem PLEASE call the nurse.
I delivered twins 26 years ago....at 26 weeks gestation.....tiny babies that survived but they went through hell to be here today.....and there was nothing i could do ....a phone call wouldn't have helped......but why take this chance.....just call especially if it gets worse.
And the sleeplessness i think is very common...especially if baby is very active.
Kiss the sweetie for me when he/she arrives.
Best of Luck

You get so many wierd aches and pains when you are pregnant. It sounds like you baby might just be sitting on a nerve or something. Since you are already seeing your doctor tomorrow, I'd wait and mention it then, unless the pain gets worse. I don't think it's anything serious.

I read Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way. It even contains the exercises you need to practice. I also read The Brewer Medical Diet for Normal and High-Risk Pregnancy. I followed the Brewer diet when I was pregnant. I used the Bradley method with all four of my births. I also read Husband Coached Childbirth, but that book does not contain what you need to practice to get ready for birth.

Your body is going through a lot of changes. It is normal for your back to hurt. The baby is getting bigger. I don't think you have anything to worry about. Just wait till till labor hits then you will feel the real pain.

Sounds like baby getting into position for delivery and hitting the nerves. Unless you stop feeling movement or start spotting or any of the other signs your doctor told you to look out for, you can wait until tomorrow to see your doc.

Yea...you do get a lot of aches and pains and stuff....If I were you I would try not laying all the way down on the bed...prop your pillows up to where they have you sitting up but laying down lol..if that makes any sense...maybe you laying all the way down causes the baby to be laying on a nerve that is causing this pain... Good luck...sorry if I didnt help.

Your baby is telling to get prepard, he or she is about to make their debut. Isn't it funny that they only prepare at night??? Anyway I went through the same thing with the same questions. You will be okay and your appointment is not too far away so there is no need to worry. Good luck and enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!

Play it safe and call your doctor anyway. No one here is an expert. But, if you can wait until your ultrasound, then, you might want to do that. Good luck and I hope you have a healthy baby!!!
