No absolutely not. it's a fact that the reason they use super skinny girls on the runway, is because it makes the clothes look good kind of like an optical illusion.....i mean honestly how many people can say those girls are attractive, i know i wouldn't want to be that skinny, a small gust of wind comes along their gonna get blown away LOL

I don't like the message of skinny models either, but we can't legislate everything that might cause someone a problem. First we ban skinny people from modeling, then we legislate away a fat person right to a big mac, next a diabetic's ability to buy a pound of sugar.....all in the name of the greater good. Not if we want a free world.

We have to police ourselves, teach our children self-love and not to grade themselves based on a famous person's looks or deeds.

YES.......Too many young girls and other women think that's how they should look, and end up with eating disorders. Also some end up dead from starving themselves. Those girls are not healthy (runway models). They are literately stick people. They look like coat hangers, you can see the bones also poking through some of the skin they like to show off.

Maybe. I mean they are just telling girls that u have to look this way and that everyone will love you because you are so skinny and that only beautiful girls come this way and that you can wear awsome clothes and you will have riches only if you are a stick thin anoerexic bulimic model. I have thought of it long and hard befor i wanted to have a eating disorder. NOw im glad that i chose not to. im doing just fine losing weight the hard and healthy way. I need to lose a couple pounds not 50.

No I think it should not be so extreme because sometimes people are skinny not because they've anorexia or something but it's their type. So I think that it's not fair to banned those models especially if they have the height, beauty and all...But information should be given about how to stay healthy for the younger society

Yes they should. I'm a guy and I find it very unattractive to see skin and bones walking down the runway. what happened to having a booty or breasts? you know, the natural things women are born with. Besides, modeling these days promotes eating disorders. I say down with anorexic models.

I think so...

These models are showing young girls that in order to be "beautiful" you have to be stick thin. Then you have 14 yr old girls who are throwing up after lunch just so they can make the "cheerleading sqaud...etc"

Its pathetic when Marylin Monroe was modeling that she was a size 14!!!!!!!!!!! Being curvy was considered to be really beautiful, and now it all changed...its aggravating for "full figured" girls like me. Either way, they need to ban them or feed them a Big Mac

Kinda cause there are girls that think that they r fat and they don't eat anything and gose to the gym and use a lot of machine to become a model but if they are really skinny then they should leave

Yes, and some countries are actually banning them. They're making models have a BMI of somewhere above a certain number, so more 'real life' people are modeling.
