LOS ANGELES, September 26, 2006 - Paris Hilton was charged Tuesday with driving under the influence, a city attorney's spokesman said.

Hilton was scheduled to be arraigned Sept. 28 in Superior Court on charges of driving under the influence and driving with a blood-alcohol level of 0.08 percent, said Nick Velasquez, a spokesman for city prosecutors.
The 25-year-old Hilton was arrested Sept. 7 after being stopped in her Mercedes-Benz SLR. Police said her blood-alcohol level was 0.08 percent, the minimum to warrant an arrest.

"The charges are consistent with California law and the circumstances of this case," Velasquez said.

Nothing. They're not going to do anything. She'll pay a fine, do community service. The truth is this arrest will just boost up her career even more. Another reason for her to be in the front page of the news, not only in the entertainment section but the front damn page.

They'll fine her or post bail. It'll be a pitance on her inheritance. She'll move on quickly. Not like when it happens to a low income Dad with a family of four at home. Ends up in jail, can't afford bail, and his family suffers! There's no justice!

I think it's good. Hey she's a human being like everyone else...right? Well when it comes to the law she should be treated like anyone else. Just because she's a a celeb. doesn't mean she's set free from the law.

I am happy to hear that she will be charged just like everyone else who has been in the same situation.

Its a really unfortunate situation and I am thankful no one was hurt.

About time!! Just because she has money doesn't mean she can escape the law. I hope they put her in jail, maybe she can do a show from her cell.
