You know I honestly can't remember the last time I bought any music. I have so many friends with large MP3 collections that I never buy anymore. But when I was a kid I walked into the local music store and saw an album from this band no one had ever heard of called Van Halen. I bought it just because the cover looked kind of cool and the name of the band sounded cool. That worked out pretty well.

I think when you've heard a few "classic" albums, you may be embarrassed that you ever asked that question! It's not a bad album, mind - it's just not an all-time great. But then I guess we all have favourite albums that would never make it onto any list (eg I still love Lloyd Cole's Rattlesnakes, 20 years on!)

I think its pretty good.. i've played it fairly non-stop since buying the album when it first came out.. which is when? i can't remember now.
Overall its good, but there are a few tracks in the middle that i admit i skip to get to the good tracks at the end.
I think i have better albums in collection.. none of which spring to mind at the moment, typical!! .. i suppose i more of a 'rock' girl and thats where my loyalties lay!
I'd give the album a 8/10 though!

I have to agree with you too. It is my favourite album at the moment, there are so many brilliant songs on it. Shame I missed them playing in Edinburgh, but I will look out for them the next time they are playing here.

It is one of the better albums that I've heard. I think if they keep in this direction they will have a brilliant career.

Snow Patrol are the vanilla ice cream of music right now. So safe, so plain, so predictable, so unoriginal, so contrived, so bleh. Not for me.
