Which game is better in your opinion and why do you think so?

Actually going back through both right now and I'd have to give the edge to FFVII but just barely. Both are awesome games and it would be nice that if they ever do a remake of FFVII that they only update the graphics and leave everything else alone.

Chrono Trigger definetely!! I like the story better, the characters are more fun to play with. I like the mini games and the humor. Chrono Trigger is just an awesome game all around.

i individually enjoyed the two video games, yet i could decide for FFVII over Chrono set off in a heartbeat. FFVII has a greater compelling storyline than Chrono set off does. apart from, the characters are far greater memorable in FFVII. case in point: To this very day, I nevertheless cry once I witness the cut back scene the place Aeris dies. and that i could actual rank FFVII between the final 4 RPG video games of all time. uncertain approximately Chrono set off, however. yet Chrono go (the sequel on PS1) is yet another tale. Final Fantasy VII is the better game, Long interesting story and ground breaking graphics. I liked Chrono Trigger too, but my favorite was FFVII :)

Well this is just my opinion but FF7 is a better game just because of the story... chrono trigger is great just not as great...

FF7 better story, materia system was excellent, graphics were groundbreaking for the time.
