Are you kidding? Some of the most fearsome and actively worshiped were the goddess' of the Greek Pantheon. Many of the mortal women in Greek mythology were just as resourceful, and in some cases superior in guile and intelligence to their male counterparts.

Women in greek mythology were not considered inferior, at leaste i don't know of any. Most if not all the greek godesses were very powerfull. For Example Aphrodite had controll over the passions of men, women and Gods alike.

I don't think they were considered inferior. That came later with the advent of Judaism and Christianity. Certain males could not put up with women being equal or surpassing them, so they passed along all kinds of myths and developed all sorts of rules. In Greek mythology there were many goddesses. Artemis (Diana) for example, rocks! She was NEVER considered inferior to any male. Nor did she need one, LOL.

I think Athena, Aphrodite, Diana, and Hera would take umbrage to your description of them as inferior. Women were the bearers and nurturers of mankind (and the half-gods like Hercules). They watched over the harvest, education, the knowledge, learning, the arts and the home (Hera's Vestal virgins). Athena's Wisdom, Aphrodite's Beauty, Diana's skill as a huntress, Hera's dedication to the home and her fiery wrath when Zeus was unfaithful.
Men were the warriors, the explorers, the builders, the hunters. They were the adventurers. Each had their own part to play and one without the other was useless. If you think females were inferior, perhaps you should check further into the daughters of Poseidon (Neptune).

I can't think of any. The female goddesses were second to their husbands, but that didn't stop them from causing trouble for mortals. The major difference is the male gods spent a lot more time fooling around with mortal women (Zeus sired Hercules, for example) and the wives just had to take it, at least on the surface. Behind the scenes, Hera did her level best to get rid of Hercules.
