here is my situation...

I had a roomate whom lived with me for 3 months. she signed a one year lease and didn't give me a dime the whole time she was here. But because she signed a 1 year lease can i hold her accountable for half a years rent?? i know that i could in most cases but this one is a little different. I'm not sure if i can hold her responsible because my grandmother co-signed for the apartment. and also because she is a minor. when she moved in she told me she was 18 but it turns out she doesn't turn 18 untill november. Because of this i'm not sure if i can hold her or her parents responsible, because any contract signed by a minor is null and void. but it's technically a leasing agreement and not a "contract" right?? i don't know what to do. can u let me know if i can infact hold her responsible?

in most states if a minor misprepresents their age for the purpose of entering into a contract the contract is valid. sue away.

Sorry, the only thing you can do is possibly appeal to her parents. It's not legal to make a contract with someone under the age of 18.

a contract - a legal meeting in agreement of two minds to an agreed condition

must be legal to make it legal.

depending on the state, the legality of lease is equal to legality of the people agreeing. In most cases legal age to be signer. No legal age, no agreement, no lease.

A leasing agreement is a contract. Minors cannot sign a valid contract. So NO you can't force her to pay.

I believe you must have know her very well before you accept her in first place but if thing change, you have to change your decision as well, cos she is still under age, that mean that you are the one who is possible for her needs and If anything happen to her you are the one who is going to be responsible, so my advice for you is that let her go and look for another place cos she has lied for you about her age and am sure there is going to be more about her that you don't know and she will never open up for you. and this dangerous

chock it up as a lesson learned. I think any court would frown on you. I know i do. So why go through the humiliation.
