Not a question you should ask here, ASK YOUR DOCTOR

Keep in mind the answers on here are just general types of advice. What really counts is what your MD says. In the end the only safe things to take are the meds that he says are safe. But usually, only your pre-natal vitamins and Tylenol (acetaminophen) are safe. If you were taking any prescription meds prior to getting pregnant, be sure to tell your MD. That way he can either change your medicine to a kind that is safe or tell you to avoid it all together or atleast until your first trimester is over.(added) Pepto-Bismol is not safe in pregnancy in any trimester. I'm sure you know that children of all ages are warned against taking it, so that's why it's not advised and certainly not safe for a growing fetus. If you experience intolerable nausea, your MD will probably write you a prescription for a drug such as Phenergan. Even though it is prescription strength, it is generally safer than any other OTC med, such as Pepto-Bismol.

In pregnancy no drug should be taken without a doctors prescription. Ist trimester of pregnancy is that phase of pregnancy which needs extra care in order to have unevenful pregnancy. Being a doctor i will advise you to avoid all sort of drugs as long it is not bothering you much.
Medicine like folic acid tablets are must , antiemitics( to stop nausea and vomiting, only if it is troubling you much,),low dose iron tablets , multivitamins can be taken along with some protein powder. This all is sufficient enough for a normal ist trimester in pregnancy

I'm in my first trimester also, and here's the list my ob gyn gave me. Good luck and congratulations. Colds- Robitussin DM, Dimeatapp, Actifed, Sudafed or Tylenol.
Tempertures- Tylenol, unless it's above 100F, than call Dr.
Constipation- Force fluids, increas fruits, brans, and leafy vegtables. If doesn't work try Metamucil, Percolate, or Surfak.
Diarrhea- Peptobismal. Force fluids to avoid dehydration.
Headache- Tylenol only! NO IBUPROFEN (Advil, Motrin, etc.)

Avoid taking any medications at all during your pregnancy. I suggest you find a local homeopathic care provider who can educate you on healthy alternative medicines.

Safer to not take anything. If you are in pain, then paracetamol is about the only thing. If you are unsure phone your midwife to get the best info.

I was told only tylenol when I was pregnant. Things change constantly, so the best thing to do is ask your OB. It depends on what is wrong what he/she will tell you to do. Good luck.

I think you should discuss that with your ob. You dont want to take something that could harm your baby.

I would not take advice from anyone from this site... simply too risky. You should go see your doctor.
