...ONE MORE DAY...
to spend with a friend, family, or any loved one
who has already died, what would you talk about?

I would spend the day with my Mom. I would ask her how she feels about my life since she left me (cuz I know she has been beside me everyday). I would apologize to her for the failure of my marriage and hope she understands I had no control over his decision to end it and that my vows really meant more to me than that. We would talk about everything just like we used to!

I would ask her what the spiritual world is like. I would ask her if my Dad is with her. Like I said I know she's with me all the time.

We would bake cookies and pies together (well I would pull them out of the oven cuz she was so much better at baking than I am).

I would give her the biggest hug ever possible. Put my head in her lap and let her play with my hair. Fall asleep and when I wake up, she would be gone again. (What a horrible thought of losing her all over again, but I would treasure that time with her!)

(Hey girl, you've outdone yourself with this one!)

I would spend the day with my mother and I would tell her all about her beautiful granddaughter that she never got to meet (who looks just like her).

She knew how much I loved and respected her, there was nothing left undone or unsaid between us, so I would just have to fill her in on everything that has happened since she passed away.

God wouldn't it be wonderful to be able to have such a day.

What a great question.

I would say all those things we so often leave unsaid. What an impact they had on my life, how much I love them. I would ask questions and learn as much about their life and their experiences as I could.

I've been truly blessed, I haven't lost someone really close to me yet. Bad part is, I don't know how I'll handle this once it happens. I try to listen and pay attention when my friends tell me things, and I've learned a lot about cherishing every moment.

I'd tell my brother how very much he is loved and missed by me and my family and his friends. I'd talk about old times and the great memories we've shared and I'd update him on what has been going on in life since he passed (although I'm sure he's seen it all from Heaven).

I think I would talk to my lil sis and tell her just how very dear she was to me, and I would just walk around all that day with my arm around her. I would tell her how much I have always loved her.

Just one day? Wow. I would be talking with my Grandma about how much she would be missed with all of her wisdom, stories...and great cooking.
