Yeah I have the same problem and Im not comfortable with anyone else touching my hair down there... lol... im good on the waxing.
Most you can do in my opinion if you got an extra 10 bucks every shopping trip is try to buy different shaving creams and shavers until you find one that doesn't irritate you so much.

Darlin try some of the new men's gel shave creme for sensative and very sensative skin and personnaly I would only use the same shaving blade no more than twice, stay with sharp blades cuts down on irritation, also let the gel set for a minute or so to soften your hair and skin. You must be a peach, and I mean that as a compliment. Hang in there baby and I would like to know how things work out. E-mail me anytime billedmond60@yahoo.com Good Luck Sweetie and keep things smooth, Ha, Ha,

Well.........if shaving, depilatories, and waxes are all out of the question, then sad to say your next stop is gonna have to be the......tweezers! The good news, though is that by tweezing, the hair won't grow back as fast as shaving and the like. Good Luck.

Make sure you use a sharp razor and after you get done shaving take some witch hazel and a cotton ball and just wipe the area you just got done shaving. This should cut back on the ingrown hairs and iritation.

Maybe you can buy a bikini trimmer! They are really good!
I suffer the same problem, so to solve the problem I bought one and I can honestly say that it works wonders! You can even use it while you are in the shower (some are waterproof). I bought a Remington one and its perfect!! Is not so expensive either..
Mine is like this: http://www.body4real.co.uk/product.php?productid=17867&js=y

Some beauticians use Bee-Wax which kinder to sensitive skin. ... Its called French beeswax as it's ""less painful and lasts longer"" than strip waxing.

I have the same problem, but one day I was in walmart and I had seen this "Noxema Bikini Shavers" very inexpensive and easy to use, with or without soap or anything like that.
