when I signed up for yahoo my name came up on my e mail as shirley xobbe it should be SobbeHow can I correct?

log into your account and go to the Options top right... then account settings bottom left then enter your password again and you will see your name near the bottom with an edit button to change it

While in your email if you choose options in the upper right hand corner then choose General Preferences which is located under Management in the middle column about 3 down.
In there there is a place called From Name: Put what you want to show up when sending email there.
