What? They had a 87 win season? Biggest choke in MLB history for sure. Yeah, right. Theyre out of the Playoffs. It doesnt matter though, because we all know which team is head and shoulders better than the Tigers and that youll be crying like a baby when the Tigers get dominated in the Postseason. Seriously, they wont even make it out of the first round. The Twins murder them, the Yanks handle them like a dominatrix handles fat businessmen, and the A's have no problem kindly showing the Tigers where their place is. This is good though, because the Tigers will have gone all this way for nothing. The Sox though, will have plenty of rest made up for all that time they spent last October SWEEPING THE WORLD SERIES. Its been a great season for the Sox and I would be actually honored to have been able to compete in such a division. Also, Jermaine Dye would have been the MVP and everybody knows it, but Jeter will take it and I do think he deserves it because he has been amazing and has never won it.

Nice job, Georgie. You even brought out the moronic Red Sux fans who probably haven't seen the light of day since the Yankees buried them in that five-game annihilation.

To put it simply, if you're actually looking for an answer and not just being an idiot, the pitching failed them, and the lineup went cold at the wrong times. A big loss, though it didn't appear to be at the time, was Aaron Rowand, who while not being fabulous at the plate, was a great defensive center fielder. Even though Brian Anderson is decent defensively, he can't hit a bullet with the broad side of a barn. Uribe also tailed off dramatically as the season went on, and Podsednik was not the force at the top of the lineup that he was last year.

The fundamentals are there for a run again next year, but the team needs tweaked. They really need some long relief, they need to get some speed into the lineup to help with the power, and it would be nice to add a strong arm in the rotation, a la Jason Schmidt. A good center fielder wouldn't hurt either (wonder if they can get Rowand back). The heart of the lineup will stay intact, as I don't see them changing anything about the 2-7 guys (Iguchi, Dye, Thome, Konerko, Pierzynski, Crede).

They will be a force to be reckoned with again next year. The lineup can still hit more balls out than any other team in baseball.

Yeah, White Sox really blew it! I am a White Sox fan but I don't feel bad. They deserve to lose! They lost there pitching, heart, and will to win. They are a huge disapointment, but that is alright-I will still enjoy watching the playoffs. Besides, it is extremely tough to repeat a World Series in MLB. Your Tigers need to conquer this year-they need it more than any other team.

I unquestionably have MLB better Innings and that i watch a brilliant number of distinctive ballclubs publicizes. maximum broadcasters purely call the sport for the main section, that's what they are paid to do. Announcers are defined by ability of their ability to call baseball video games, no longer get into opinionated tirades. now and then I run right into a White Sox game and am reminded of how bias they are actual. that is undesirable sufficient they cheerlead all game long asserting issues like "Come on Carlos"! and "He long gone" after each frickin strike out. it is so demanding that I could mute the damn game. then you definately've a situation like on the instant the place they piss and moan as quickly with the aid of fact the sport is over approximately whoever is the blame for the loss. No, they shouldn't act that stuff is larger suitable for radio activities shows, no longer television audiences.

They got satisfied with themselves and lost focus coming into this season, not unlike the Detroit Pistons last year after winning their own championship in '04 and the Red Wings in '02. Fat & Happy as they call it. Winning the title is only the begining of the battle. Keeping it is the true challenge, and the Sox did not answer that challenge. Maybe they'll take this as a lesson going into next season. Just because your team's name is on the trophy one year does not mean it will automatically be there the next.

the white sox played bad at the end of the season last year but they had a huge lead they could hold on to and this year they did the same thing except they had to good teams in their division.

go twins

It wasn't a choke. It was under performing and a crap *** bullpen. The rule is you can't make the post season if you can't beat the teams in your division. While we owned the Tigers, we struggled against every other central team. I would hardly call winning damn near 90 games a choke. Tigers over performed for their talent level, and the twins got hot and stayed unbelievably hot. Twins fall apart next year, you can kiss Torri Hunter goodbye.

Our pen lost us a lot of games, and Buehrle had his worst year as an ace. We still had a remarkable offense led by Jermaine Dye (MVP).

No fun on the south side this year, but I'm waiting to see if the 'Kittens" go 11-1 in the post season. Don't break out your Mad dog wine just yet, there might be a "Twin killing"

The Whitesox pitching let them down big time this year. It carried them all the way last year, and had nothing left for 2006, plus their bullpen lost some key arms.

The Mets are my team to beat! Plus David Wright's a cutie.

Mwah!

Their starting pitching went down the crapper. Plus, they traded away Aaron Rowand, who was as much the soul of that team. It didn't help either that Ozzie Guillen is more than a little crazy!
