there is a switch in the trunk I think on the driver's side.
also the airbags are known to go bad over time. they aren't cheap to replace either. start the car up and listen for an air leak if the air suspension switch is turned on

The switch in your trunk may be turned off. If it isn't you may have a leak in one of the airbags, or the compressor under the hood is leaking or not working. When you turn the key on you should hear the compressor kick on. It sounds alot like the sound you hear on the compressors you would use to air up your tires at one of those pay for air pumps. You know..you put in 50 cent and push a button and hear the compressor kick on. Sounds like that. If the compressor under the hood is working take a spray bottle with a soapy water solution. And start spraying the compressor and the lines coming from it. Follow the lines back to the bags and spray them too. When the soapy solution hits something and starts making bubbles you've found the leak.Repair the bag line or compressor or what ever the bubbles show up on. If the compressor is not working" Should be located on the drivers side under the hood. Check your fuses or relays. See if there is power at the compressor with a test light. If there isn't then you need to find out why. If there is the compressor is bad.

I hate to bring bad news. The suspension in the Lincoln is auto control ed It has sensors in the front shocks and rear, with an on board air compressor. Nine times out of ten a shock will leak air.The shocks for a Lincoln are around $1200.00 just for the front. The air compressor isn't cheep eather. Does the compressor come on when you turn on the ignition? Their is an on/off switch in the truck .
You are suppose to turn it off when raising the car off the ground to pro vent damage to the shocks. I hope you have a minor problem like the switch in the off position. The repairs are real expensive.

Sorry, but I see many, many Lincolns of that vintage with the rear end droop... Ck with the local Ford dealer for bulletins concerning this kind of problem, I am sure thay know exactly what is wrong... Good Luck
