It acts as an infatuation detector, but after that, you need to use your brain to decide if the person is comptatible, has the morals and character you need, and is going to be the right match for you. The heart lacks a brain so really shouldn't be making those kinds of decisions.

good question. the only answer that comes to MY mind is that i feel something in that general area & i know its not always heartburn. & lately(as you can see by my avitar), it does really feel as if something in that area hurts when i think about certain things. maybe its just cuz your heart is kinda your core. y'know? your life source? love is something very important to some & is therefore connected in a way to something else thats important. wow! i think i've even confused myself now. lol

I think that the heart is always referred to with love because when someone deals with someone they love, their heartbeats differently.
