You need to install a Cert in Outlook or use some other form of encryption such as PGP. You cannot make an email protected without using something along those lines and in fact email is totaly insecure and anybody can read it as it travels the Internet if you don't.

If using Outlook the best way is to get a cert from Thawte but whoever you are sending the email too also needs a cert and you have to exchange keys prior to sending the protected email your looking to send.

Have no fear , there is free email program that is TOTALLY secure. It's takes a few min to set up but it's worth the time . Also, the party you are sending to also needs to have an account there. Not to say that you can only email account members it's just that the mail won't be encrypted. Read up on it and decide .. you'll be amazed at how totally open regular email is to hackers , I was ! I don't think you can send an email, with a password protect. It is also safe, if you encrypt it. Click here>>

well the person your sending it to should be the only person that can read it, by entering their username and password.
or if want to make it total secure.
you would need to attach the contents in a say document file eg in word and then u can password protect the file, then attachement it to the email.
so they would need the password to open the attachment.
