How big of a leak, and from where? Stop leak will help for a small pinhole in your radiator. If you have a leaky hose, make sure the clamps are tight, or if there is a hole in it replace it. If it's anything beyond a bad hose or a small pin hole, take it in.

I'm sorry but it's a ford. I used to have the predecessor (Tempo) and they are the same, and I had the exact problems. Next problem was the transmission.

My advice:

don't put too much money into it. Start saving for another, even if it is for example, a 1991 toyota or something, it's still better than your later model ford.

No wonder the company itself is laying off like crazy. They haven't seen anything yet.

Good luck

If you are sure it is the radiator just get it fixed. A welding shop near hear fixes them for what it costs to buy stop leak. He even does the aluminum ones. Call around and find someone to fix it.

OPEN your hood and look for where the leak is coming from. Then you can decide if it's something your comfortable repairing or if you need to take it to a shop. At least this way, you'll know if what the shop tells you is the truth or if they are trying to pull one over on you.

Find out where it is leaking from. Is it from a hose or the radiator? Could it be from the thermostat? Find where it is leaking from then ask what you should do.
