Yes, you would no longer have periods but may still have period symptoms especially if your fallopian tubes are left in. They will still ovulate and produce estrogen.

Yes, this is true. But do not have yours removed just for this purpose. All body parts are needed, contrary to popular belief. Most hysterectomies done are not needed. They are being foisted upon women by the medical profession because it's the 'easy' way out. FACT - the U.S. is the world's leading nation for hysterectomies.
Let's say you have a few fibroids. The doctors will tell you "Eh, let's just take that nasty old uterus out. You don't need it anyway."
For them it's a quick $30,000 (or more); whereas if he/she were to operate on the fibroids, $3000 - $5000 is spent. There is a monetary incentive for them to talk you into removing your uterus. Just think, with just one of these proceedures done, dear old Doc has just bought a new car, or paid his dues to that ultra chic Country Club (at your expense). Ever hear that term 'laughing their way to the bank'?
Do some research and get multiple opinions before undergoing any medical procedure.

She will not get periods at all anymore. No more PMS, cramps, or any of the other signs of a monthly. By the way don't get your ovaries removed unless medically necessary, you need the hormones they produce.

I think so because her period is caused from the uterus wall shedding. If there is no uterus there should be no period.

You may still ovulate, but there is no endometrium to be shed (its in the bucket) so you do not actually menstruate.
