I have had my Sulcata Tortoise for a little over 6 years. I got her when she was about 4 months old. I also have a apx 13-14 year old Sulcata. My problem is that Littlefoot (the 6 year old) eats well put she doesn't seem to be getting as big as she should at this age. I have heard alot of reasons on why such as that if she is a female (which I don't know which sex she is) that they grow at a lot slower pace then males. Also I have been told that as long as she is eating and her shell isn't deformed then she is doing ok. I'm concened because my neice has one who is younger then mine but twice the size. Anyone know where I can find a chart that would tell me how big she should be at this age?
Thanks A Bunch

She has a pretty big "house" for her size she also gets to romp and stomp outside in the front yard for 2-3 hours on the weekends.
She is not kept with the other tortoise at all.... since he is around 100LBS and she is only about 5LBS....They have only been around each other 1 time for a photo opp.

I don't know about a chart, but I am curious about what kind of cage you have your tortoise in, and is it penned with the other?? Sometimes growth is inhibited by space, if there is not a large amount of space, they will slow down on growth. My sulcata grew very fast for the first 3 years, then we moved him from a large outdoor cage to a pen in the garage and it was a bit small (we were going to build a bigger one outside) he slowed his growth way down and the reptile store I worked at told me it was normal. As long as yours is healthy and eats well, I am sure it is fine. They are so awesome!

I would be worried about intestinal parasites, worms, etc. if she is eating OK and active but still not gaining weight, etc.

I'd get her checked out by a vet- and I am not a big fan of going to the vet for every little thing. This sounds like it could be pretty serious to me.
