I go on murderous rampages.
Actually, I suppress it more often than not. And then I end up with throbbing migraines like I have right now. I just don't talk to anyone, isolate myself, and work everything through my head. After all, if you're all alone, only you know you are going nuts, and you can't get in trouble for it.

You can't suppress anger, it builds and builds and comes out worse than before. There are things you can do to relieve your anger, physical exercise, work. Chopping wood is great. But what you need to do is express your anger appropriately. Talk to the person you are angry with, tell them why you are angry. It's best not to do this in the heat of anger though, it often comes out wrong. Go away and cool off. As I said, chop some wood, go for a run, punch a bag. When you have cooled down though, don't just let it go til it comes up again, talk about it with the person. If this is a serious problem please see a counselor or try to take some anger management classes. This is one of the most difficult problems for people today. We've not been taught how to appropriately express anger and either blame someone else for our anger or feel bad that we are angry. Get some help, don't just try to suppress it. It won't work and sometimes the effects of out of control anger can ruin your life.

Remember that you have no control over how the world works. None. It totally sucks, but that's the way it is. That sounds kind of extreme, like who really thinks they rule the world...but when we get like that, that's sort of how we feel, really deep down, that things are supposed to be different and dammit why aren't they?. Maybe they should be, but they're not.
Learning meditation and exercising could help in the long term - if you're generally feeling okay and centred, you're less likely to let dumb crap make you mad. In the heat of the moment, walking away and yelling to yourself or smashing something soft may help. If anger's really been a problem, talk it out with someone like a friend, doctor or a therapist. It's not creepy or weak - it takes a lot of effort to change perspective a little.

Anger is natural behavior !
Humans have it , but so do animals .
We are not animals , we have the ability to overcome anger .
Trying to stay calm is not easy , but it can be done with a little practice .
Every time you get really angry ....and I know it's hard ....let a few seconds go by ...and change the subject ....or excuse yourself , leave the room and go back after after a few seconds , focus on something else when you reenter the room .
It works !!
To get angry and say or do things to the person involved only makes things worse .
Say to yourself , it's not worth it .

Walk away, feeling superior to the person you're angry with.
Sorry, I was not quite honest. When anyone honks his horn outside my window, I imagine the most painful, lengthy and horrible death possible for him. It always makes me feel better. I try to think of a different one each time.

Go jogging, shoot hoops, or get a punching bag. Then take the time to assess your problem, get some perspective.

You should see a therapist. I'm not being sarcastic. It's good you admit you have a problem, but now you should go through resolving it.
