I try to avoid JAIL and REHAB, and FUNERAL HOMES....those are some pretty depressing, sad places.
Be well and go outside, the sun will do you some good.

Laura if your house is the most depressing place in your life you need to move and I mean get the hell out of there as fast as you can. Hell that's where you spend most of your time is at home. Does your home need to be remodeled or cleaned. What? If you live in NJ I'll come to house and hook it up! I love to decorate! But if there are other reasons that your home makes you depressed, seriously get the hell out of there. Now if you're under age and you can't leave, click on my sign-on name and we'll discuss this. Because it doesn't make any sense to be depressed at home. Been there, done that! Stop being depressed! That sh/t will have you on meds and if you don't get the right meds, you'll move up to being schizophrenic. You're probably too nice of a girl to be feeling the way you do.

The most depressing time I ever had was being in a stinking swamp trying to avoid capture by enemy soldiers while everything that can crawl and bite does with me trying not to make a sound so I'm not found. It was 12 hours through the night before friendly guys found me.
Surely your situation isn't that bad. When you get down, seek Jesus to help you. Trust in Him and He will bring you out of it. It doesn't matter where you are or what you have done, He loves you and if you truly seek Him, you don't have to be depressed.

Mine is various places. A sight, scent, or sound can push me toward depression by bringing back some very bad memories. So, technically speaking the place that's worst for me & the place I need to avoid, is within my mind.

Lower Manhattan, now more than ever. Even before 9/11, it was always sooo gloomy. The buildings are pretty tall and the streets are so narrow it's almost as if the sun doesn't even touch the pavement.
