Is there a city income tax in San Francisco?

I'm trying to get a handle on taxes in San Francisco. Besides the state income tax, sales tax, property tax, is there a city income tax if you work in San Francisco?

The answer is no. California prohibits local jurisdictions from imposing income taxes altogether. However, San Francisco has a city payroll tax on EMPLOYERS only, but not employees. Several times in the past, the legislature has tried to change the law, but has suffered big time!

I don't think so, I live 15 miles south of there and I never heard of it
